FASHION4AFRICA.ORG is a fundraising initiative that was inspired by a cultural study into African tourism which helped to identify the amazing potential within the modern African textile industries, African fashion, culture music and arts from all 53 states of the continent.

Fashion4africa will be hosting a fundraining fashion showcase in London to celebrate African cultures through an infusion of fashion music and dance in the process exposing the potential of talented undiscovered local and national designers of African decent and also designer’s whose collections are inspired by African cultures.

In addition the showcase there will be a designer runway competition that will that will be judged by a panel of industry experts The non qualified finalist will be awarded a place at the Fashion Retail Academy of which Sir Philip Green of Topshop is patron, where they will learn how to brand and market their collection.

This showcase will be hosted by the award winning comedian EddieKadi alongside Tashie Jackson. Live music will provided by the Senegalese Kora player Fily, Congo musicians Ladi and the Moto Moto band with great singers Makuta, Ido, Mbokalia, Limuzine, and Angolian entertainment from Kizomba UK.

The showcase is open to all and hopes to create a relaxed enjoyable environment filled with African hospitality for fashionistas to enjoy a top-of-the-line runway show and competition 
that will inspire, educate and provide a platform of interaction between designer’s industry experts and potential clients alike.
