Miss Cameroon 08-Model of the month

We catch up with Christiane aspiring model and politician

Winner of the recent Miss Cameroon 2008, Miss Christiane Dawwe, 22 is not a woman to rest on her laurels. She's hard at work doing promotions and other engagements that this prestigious title brings. She found time from her busy schedule to share her thoughts with Ebonyonline.net about the modelling industry, its ups and downs and the best way of staying beautiful.

How and when did you become interested in modelling?

Since a young age I had an interest in fashion but I was so young at time that I didn’t really know what is was that I like about the fashion industry so in pursuit of my dream career I started modelling and over the years I grew to love modelling and that is how it became apart of me.

What has been your most high profile modelling job to date?

I love every job I do in my eyes there is no job smaller then the other. However I am torn between a music video I did and a photo shoot i did on the 14 February. The music video was fun but the photo shoot gave me something to do on valentine day other than thinking about lost love.

Where would be your dream photo shoot be and what would you be wearing?

Oh this is a hard one but my dream photo shoot be in Cameroon. I would love to take a photo on a football pitch with the national team as one of the player and I would love to wear the number 17 kit which was once worn by the late Foe may his soul rest in peace.

Tells us some of the ups and downs of modelling you’ve experienced so far?

Today there are many false modelling agency out there, they take your money by asking you to do portfolio on top of portfolio and the funny thing is that they never have any casting for they client. Finding a good agency is not easy and the whole process can be every emotional.

Tell breeze your beauty tips to keep looking slick and sexy?

A good night sleep and plenty of water is will hydrate your skin if your skin is good the rest will follow. Also keep foundation light and focus on defining eyes a bit of sheen instantly gives radiance. I also add depth to lashes with lash extensions.

Apart from modelling, what are your other skills, hobbies etc?

Apart from modelling I am studying fashion and clothing and doing a part time course in politics.

Any tips for aspiring models?

What you put in is what you will get out. Like other jobs you have to invest time and sometime money. Modelling is a very visual world so how one present themselves is crucial.

Favourite model and why?

Tyra Banks,  she is a very good role model to young girls out there, she carries herself with respect and she hardly gets bad press and she is every close to her to her mother as I am with my own mother.

What is your dress style off the catwalk?

I am a very traditional but if I could dress like they did in the 1940s I would be over-the-moon every awaking morning. My style I would say is vintage chic with a modern take on it.

Finally where would you like to see your career in 10 years time?

Ou la la I will be old by then but by God’s grace I will be a fashion icon, a well know designer, a wonderful mother, a loving wife and a great daughter .s
